Rooms built around the pieces you already love.

Morton Andrews & Co. decorates around what you already own — the inherited, the collected, the irreplaceable — and layers in only what the room still needs. The result is a home that looks like your life, only composed.

Our Philosophy

Your grandmother’s silver belongs in the picture.

Most decorating starts with an empty room and a shopping list. We start with your inventory: the chest from your mother’s house, the paintings you’ve carried through three moves, the silver that hasn’t seen daylight in a decade. Those pieces aren’t obstacles to a beautiful room — they’re the reason for it.

“Coherent, never matchy. Curated, never decorated within an inch of its life.”

We edit what doesn’t earn its place, give the pieces that matter the setting they deserve, and source the rest — seating, lighting, textiles — at trade, chosen to sit comfortably alongside things twice their age. Nothing in the room pretends to be new for long, and nothing precious is treated like a museum piece. It’s a home, and it should feel like one.

Services

What we do

Four ways to work with us, from a single room that won’t come together to a whole house full of inherited pieces waiting for a plan.

No. 1

Collection Integration

Our signature work. We inventory what you have, decide together what leads and what retires, rehang, regroup, and rebuild the room around the pieces that carry your family’s history.

No. 2

Full-Room Decorating

Complete rooms — layout, color, upholstery, lighting, window treatments, and the finishing layers — designed around your anchor pieces rather than in spite of them.

No. 3

Sourcing & the Missing Pieces

When a room needs something it doesn’t have yet, we find it: new pieces sourced through our trade accounts, or the right antique found and vetted, so what arrives feels like it was always yours.

No. 4

Downsizing & New Chapters

Moving to a smaller home, or combining two households into one? We help you choose what comes along, place it well, and let the rest go with a clear conscience.

How It Works

The process, in four passes

1

Start with your pieces

We walk your home — or your storage unit — and catalog what you own and what it means to you. Nothing is dismissed before it’s understood.

2

The edit

Together we sort the collection into leads, supporting pieces, and things that can be released. Editing is what makes the keepers sing.

3

The layers

We source what’s missing — at trade pricing — and layer it in: seating that works with the antique chest, lighting that flatters the portraits, textiles that tie eras together.

4

A room, lived in

Final placement, styling, and the small adjustments that make it yours. The goal is a room that feels inevitable — as if it could never have been any other way.

Selected Rooms

The work, in rooms

Different houses, different collections, the same idea: what the family already owns leads, and everything else is chosen to keep it company.

The Showroom

See it in person, by appointment

Our Buckhead showroom carries a rotating selection of furniture and objects — every piece tagged and available for purchase, and every room arranged the way we arrange our clients’: old and new, side by side, at home with each other. It’s the easiest way to understand how we work.

Appointments are unhurried and one party at a time. Write to us and we’ll find a time.

Contact

Tell us what you’ve inherited.

A house full of family pieces and no idea how they fit together is our favorite kind of project. So is one room that has never quite worked. Tell us a little about either, and we’ll reply within two business days.
